Opening in Australian cinemas on 12 February 2026, Little Wonder Bear is a heartwarming and adventurous animated film for children and families, inspired by a true story set in the lush Peruvian Amazon.
The film follows Milagros, a young bear who becomes separated from her family when her forest home is disrupted by human intervention. Lost and hunted in an unfamiliar part of the jungle, Milagros must rely on her courage - and the unexpected friendship of a small fox -as the pair set out on a journey to reunite her with her brother and find their way home.
Filled with thrilling adventures and tender moments, Little Wonder Bear is a story with heart, engaging young audiences while exploring themes of friendship, resilience, and the importance of caring for the natural world. It’s an adventure that delights children and gives parents meaningful conversations long after the credits roll.
Based on real events from 2003 - when a spectacled bear cub survived against the odds in the Amazon - Little Wonder Bear is a hopeful, uplifting story that celebrates bravery, connection and the importance of protecting the world we share.
Little Wonder Bear has also made history as the first animated feature certified Climate Positive by the United Nations, with its production offsetting more carbon emissions than it generated.
