First-of-its-kind Toddler Skin Spa to open in Sydney

Huggies is opening a first-of-its-kind Huggies Ultra Dry Nappy Pants Toddler Skin Spa pop-up experience in Sydney this month. Designed to give busy parents an opportunity to focus on their toddler’s skin – the spa will offer a special pampering moment, with complimentary massage treatments for parents and their active bub to enjoy together.

The opening of the spa comes as a national survey commissioned by Huggies reveals while 62% of  Australian parents claim to consider caring for their toddler’s skin is just as important as a newborn, four in five (86%) wish they had more time to dedicate to skin care and 84% admitting they struggle to prioritise it.

Thanks to Huggies Ultra Dry Nappy Pants, however, keeping a baby's skin dry and comfortable is easy especially with the addition of new Rapid-Dry™ Technology, which absorbs wetness in under 10 seconds,  to help keep active baby's delicate skin protected.

To celebrate, Huggies has partnered with Sydney’s Bump Day Spa to offer a unique spa experience – where parent’s and their toddler’s skin are pampered at the same time.

As part of each 30-minute complimentary treatment, Bump’s expert skin specialists will treat toddlers to a soothing foot bath and gentle massage. Meanwhile, each parent will have the option to choose from a relaxing Head, Shoulder & Neck massage or nourishing Hand & Foot Massage while enjoying a bonding moment alongside their little one, who will also have access to a range of play activities and toys to entertain them.

In addition to walking away with soft, smooth skin, each pair will also be offered toddler skin care tips alongside a complimentary pack of Huggies Ultra Dry Nappy Pants and a hooded toddler towel to continue their spa experience at home.

Children’s doctor and mum-of-two, Dr Michela Sorensen, who helped developed the toddler skin health advice offered to parents as part of the spa experience, commented, “Whether it’s new daycare centres or swimming lessons, toddlers come into contact with a range of new environmental factors which can affect their delicate skin as they become more active. While our skin becomes thicker and more resilient as we grow, it’s important for parents to remember a toddler's skin often needs the same moisture, nourishment and protection as a newborn.”

For Co-Founder of Bump Day Spa, Tegan Natoli, the Huggies Ultra Dry Nappy Pants Toddler Skin Spa experience offers a natural addition to the spa’s existing parent-focused treatments.

“After years of nurturing pre- and post-natal mums, the Bump team and I are thrilled to be extending our skin care rituals to their little ones too – creating a special opportunity for parents and their active bubs to relax and be treated together.”

One of the spa’s first visitors, media personality and Huggies ambassador, Anna Robards, added, “My skin care has always been incredibly important to me and it’s no different when it comes to the skin care of my two little girls. As Ruby becomes more active, I know how easy it is to let a good skin routine slip off the to-do list, so I love that Huggies helps me prioritise skin protection with their new Ultra Dry Nappy Pants and has created a special experience where I can treat mine and my toddlers’ skin.”

The Huggies Ultra Dry Nappy Pants Toddler Skin Spa experience will be available at Bump Day Spa in Sydney’s Double Bay from Tuesday 20 August to Saturday 24 August. Parents with toddlers aged 12- 36 months are invited to make an appointment from 9am, Friday 9 August via a booking page HERE.

Appointments are extremely limited so parents in need of some pampering are encouraged to get in quick.
