These September school holidays, moviegoers can spring into action at HOYTS cinemas with the latest family-friendly films, endless snacks and comfy recliner seats.

A recent HOYTS survey found that 82% of parents said that the cinema is a great activity for the kids during the school holidays, and with HOYTS Daybeds and D-BOX motion recliner, families can take their cinema trip to a whole new level.

HOYTS Director of Sales, Marketing and Content Stephanie Mills said taking the family to the movies is a classic school holiday activity and with such an amazing line-up this spring, HOYTS is the place to be.

“There are plenty of great movies and experiences on offer, promising to deliver laughs and thrills for all ages,” Stephanie said.

"It's no surprise that Runt is a must-see this holiday season following the success of the book. Viewers will be drawn into a world of adventure with 11-year-old Annie and her furry friend Runt as they work to save their family's farm.

“For a great family movie night, guests can also experience the untold origin story of Optimus Prime and Megatron in Transformers One. With a strong and dedicated fanbase eagerly awaiting its release, Transformers One will be a memorable addition to the beloved franchise.”

Moviegoers can also look forward to the screen adaptation of the classic 1955 children’s book Harold and the Purple Crayon. The film follows Harold as he discovers his imaginations can come to life just by drawing them.

HOYTS has even more to offer for families with The Wild Robot, based on the book series of the same name by Peter Brown, arriving just in time for the school holidays. The captivating tale of survival and friendship follows a robot as it learns to adapt to its new surroundings.

“School holidays are a great time to take advantage of our HOYTS Family discounted tickets,” Stephanie said.

“Enjoy big savings on G and PG-rated family movies when purchasing in a family of three or four, keeping your wallet and kids happy these holidays.”
